Toy Gun.

In regards to politics, I don't feel even if it is "your" President- you should or are going to agree on every decision made. Life throws us all rhymes and reasons for feeling as we do. Even with presidents I disagreed with, I tried to ultimately respect them somewhere in me. It is of my opinion that the mental health of a person should be involved in this realm of life as well. It should be standard that there are consistent, honest evalulations. That is not meant to stigmatize a person- as it often does, but to be transparent and open. Our society has a long way to go in order to learn more about health and mental illness. It does not mean that you can't do something great or when doing decent, be active in society in some form or another. You never know until a politician gets active, how they may perform. I am glad it is tested for 4 years as a President of the USA, but at the same time, regardless you like this person, if power switches hands- that can cause great anxiety. Change is not always easy to deal with.

Because of the events that led up to Joe Biden becoming President- I had a hard time watching it. I would listen through headphones but was really afraid something was going to happen to him and or, others. Thankfully, nothing did. I don't wish that on anyone. Joe Biden from what I read and understand has been through a lot. Does this mean I will agree with every change and decision? No. We have to learn to think for ourselves and communicate this to others without fear. This is the only way we can learn how to go forward. One thing I DO NOT like about the political realm is things that work, get changed. I don't know why it is, but some Presidents do not work for the people, govern for the people and are only for themselves and their way of thinking and agenda. This can create great harm to the people and the country as a whole when people lead by big ego- not by being open to others communication. When this happens it creates barriers, misinformation and isolation.

Some things that are not set in stone with me as far as challenges and the times are abortion, health care, Social Security, climate change, and gun useage and rights. On abortion, I always felt a person (father) should have some say, or a role in the matter. If a person wants to have an abortion I feel, if they are healthy- there are options to consider. Adoption as one and if the father is responsible enough- let the father have some say and choice in bringing up their child. I tend to disagree with abortion however- I do believe a woman has a right to choose. I do believe in opinion that a mother and or child in grave danger of losing their life, should have choices.

Health Care. I do believe we all should have rights to health care. We should not be afraid to go to our doctors, health providers because of money and bills. A rich person, aside from having a monetary advantage is not more important than someone who happens to get cancer, or mental health issues, or is dying. Something gets us all. We all have the same outcome. We should be here to help each other, not stigmatize, analyze and scrutinize to the point that the balance of being human and humanity is off kilter. Some countries do have universal health care. Yes, in some, it works. People in this country and I am sure elsewhere believe that this is the beginning of communism, or they paint socialism as bad, or evil. They may even confuse the two. We live in a capiltalist

society here. I get it. But there is room for both. There already is BIG socialism here. (Social Security, fire departments, the United Staes Post Office, construction, government aid, and the list goes on) I do not have an issue helping out others. Life is unpredictable and you never know when you may need it yourself. One thing I don't understand however is how can a country be in such debt yet be "the richest country in the world". I really hope there is a backup supply of cash and goods if we get in a rut we can't get out of. We may already be there, I don't know. I personally don't like that we live in this world, a rock, flying around a sun, moving in the universe that we know little about- we have to have money. Money is either your best friend, or worst enemy at sometimes in life. Just because you are more unfortuate in this system does not make you a lesser of a person. People need to realize, give or take, they are worthy and can advance themselves with education or even just the way they think. They can become and strive to be a better role model or person.

Climate Change - simple. We have one earth, one life to live. We should conserve where we can to make this planet habitibal for all and make it last as long as possible. Sometimes we seem to be living in an ashtray. Smog, pollution, garbage, chemicals and on and on. It is not fair to those growing up behind us. We need to rely less on pollutants and more on BIG THINKING. How to make the world a cleaner, safer place. Let's face it, I am certain a lot of damage is and has been done. Is there a reversal repair. I fear not, but maybe. It is just slow. I do believe in smarter energy. I do think we need to advance and find better ways and inventions to live by. Cleaner ways. Am I guilty too? Yes. I drive a car. I am part of the problem too. The way life is set to be is not always fair or right. In my life, I need a vehicle. It might mean work, appointments, shopping or even visiting others. If we could only find ways to rely less on dirt and more on getting A to B, as one example, a more efficient way. I do believe we may be headed in a better, right direction as time goes on. Rules and regulations are there for a reason. It took time to make the mistake, not it's time to try to reverse it. It should be a common goal. Nobody wants a messy house. At least I don't.

I believe having and using guns is common sense. Do I believe the severely mentally ill should own guns. (depression, psychosis) etc. No. Do I believe they need protection. Yes. It is a double edged sword. Because of life and needing to be policed as humans it should be a right to protect yourself from harm. It should be your right to use it in a way to protect yourself from a grave threat. I think at a young age, all should be talked to and given lessons at a young age how to be responsible with fire arms. What do do and not to do with them. If anything. Guns are like drugs. One it is here, it is not going to be rooted out. I do not believe that government in general is out to collect everyone's firearms. I don't want to sound paranoid, but I do think we need protection from any forms of governments that could come after a society. We need to have that - as a try at survival. It is the human condition. Why do I feel mental health is a reason not to own a gun? First, if you never had mental health diagnosis - or issues you may never understand why. There is nothing over the brain to tell it is sick. It doesn't always heal. Depression is one thing that can lean into danger. I mean diagnosis. Not just the Monday blues. When stressed or feeling like you can't get out of bed, or dread and tears, aches and pains- heartaches- it is not the time to have a gun, while contemplating suicide. It happens. I had a very good teen friend who took his life. I miss him every day. I wrote a song called "Wings to Fly" about that matter. What would he be doing today, if he had not took his life? I have lost a couple people to suicide in life and have played some music at Hope Vigil's and suicide awareness events. It is not necessariy that guns are the problem. We do have an over abundance maybe. The issues at hand is humans. You never know when one could snap. You never know what one is thinking. Mental health does not always mean you are evil, or bad, or even a threat. There is a small chance of that. The media plays a role in making the mentally ill look that way. People pick up on it and run with it as well, or become scared of people with diagnosis, because they don't understand it. That said, it is like having diabetes almost. A health issue. One example of misinformation is the movie, ME MYSELF AND IRENE. I love Jim Carrey, but let's face it, schizophrenia is not multiple personality. If you don't know this, that is called dissociative disorder. That is one example of how things get twisted in life. We have to be careful what we do and say. This isn't censorship. It is respect and compassion. Some have a filter, some don't. It all depends on context and useage. If you are a president, a person in power, a popular celebrity you have to think outside the box. Your words MATTER. People hang on to everything you say, do and sometimes how you act. I don't know why people get starry eyed from certain people, but I must say, I try to view everyone - no matter where they come from, as a human being with potential flaws. We all are headed to the same place. Eventual Exit.

DISCLAIMER. My opinions and thoughts may change without notice. I may change my mind. I might feel different an hour from now, or even more as I develop my learning. I am not always right. Feel free to think for yourself. These are just some issues that have had an impact on me in one form or another. Thanks for reading!
