Sup?! Sup Mang. Tonight, I am recording without drums first. I am playing to an Audacity click track and it turned out OK so far. - I am waiting to order another mixer as one was defective and one was not good enough, for what I needed. Awaiting a refund first.
Too hot to trot, I had to put more airs in the house. I am in the mancave a lot. I have an air down here too. Music is life to me at times, so here I am, listening, or creating. My first love. Music. Kept me alive many times! (teens) My saving grace. My parental figure. My healer of my psyche of sorts.
In August, I go to Syracuse NY for a retreat. I will be most likely sitting in a jacuzzi part the time there. I can't wait. I need a break from GROUNDHOG'S DAY. (hoping to get time off) Right now I am listening to Indie Music. I run Spotify playlists with this music on it, from friends and others so we get paid for listening and streaming. It is really interesting when Indie becomes your mainstream - a lot more than the mainstream music. This tune "ADDICTION" - which I believe is about addictions - we all have something don't we? But, I love it, I love the music to it as well. Something about it. I love. I actually think I wrote the artist and told him how I loved the song, he was very thankful and talkative for a little bit. Support your music friends and artists. WE ALL start somewhere.
On the 4th of July, I will be working part of the day. No big plans, yet, or not at all maybe. I am sure the locals around me will be throwing their sparklers and fire crackers around. Ha. A week or two ago, my daughter called me from the intercom to the basement, my mancave and they thought they were hearing gun shots. So, knowing today's world, I immediately went up there and could hear it too. I honestly thought, wow, who did I piss off? Anyway, I called the police, which is abnormal for me. I don't like to have to call them, unless absolutely have to. So, they came and it was fire crackers around 12 am in the morning. I thought I could see flashes and it really did sound like someone shooting out back of my house. It was echoing. The cop comes to my door says "put the bat down". haha. So I did. It was our neighbors. No biggie, if I had known, it would not of been any big deal, but it scared my daughter the most. I am hoping to get some more time off this July, a weekend.
So what should I do, I contemplate. A 10, 12, 15, or 20 song disc, effort, stream? I wish I had some idears. I have so many songs written. I was thinking doing a more "adult" album after this one gets out, and finished. I have some tunes already for that one.
"Sinsation," "Coolest of the Cools," and I have, or had all these titles written down for that effort to build songs on. I am not going to give away titles, they are witty and different that is for sure. Soon enough. Soon enough.
I am on facebook, 2 pages, a music site and a regular ol' facebook page for myself. Today I received at least 4 messages about "The Many Saints of Newark". ( It has relation to The Sopranos ) I was like, wow, everyone must know, I loved that show. I started to lol about it. 4 right in a row! I will most likely watch it. As I did love that show. I miss it as well.
