Kimburtly. (as my brother would call her) Kim, has been through so much in life. It comes out in her poems, books and she is an inspiration to many. Kim has ran half marathons in her life. (one for her late father) I got to meet her father, he was a great man and a great bass player. If he had not passed, he would be in a band with me! We share a child with special needs.
Kim is doing well, except her knees. She unfortunately, was working at KRAFT after working a different job for many years. The work, with little to no breaks (on her feet, up and down) made her knees and legs weaken. (she will most likely get knee replacements) She is a warrior however. As of recent she started going for morning walks with her sister on the phone with her. Kim, has a contagious laugh. Kim loves nature and the birds. She has other books partially written too. Kim told me, to never censor myself in my music, so I practice that finally, after years of playing it safe with that mindset. A lot less filter now. That can be good and be a bad thing, let's hope it is a good thing. I try to be careful if I am playing out to use my words carefully, especially if our youth is around. Kim has been with me on and off, (beginning) for over 15 years. We have had very low lows, and very high highs. We had a celebration at the local Presbyterian Church years ago of our relationship. The pastor was awesome and very supportive of us over the years, before he left. His name was Herb. Kim and I can be very different, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. For instance, she loves TV and I like TV, but not as much as music. I don't watch a lot of TV. That is just one minor example. If we were the same, wouldn't it be boring maybe??
I have to give props to Kim. She has struggled greatly in her life. The last 15 years I have seen her go through thick and thin. We have supported each other in times of troubles. Nobody is perfect. We have been through more than the average couple. This makes us stronger and more resilient as people. This was the building blocks of the person we are and have become. We have matured in our own different ways over the years.
This is a tribute to Kimberly.... You are a fire... an inspiration. Keep gliding on in your sky. You are loved and loved by many. Your laugh is one of a kind and contagious. Keep on keeping on. Dream BIG. DREAM BIGGER. You are a special kind of mother and have supported me through thick and thin. Thank YOU and Hugs to you. - "You are the best in the universe world" - Sunsetta.
