GYPSY QUEEN

MUSIC.

Prior to my solo act. I played in some bands, one of them was LAKE EFFECT MUD. Late 90's- 02' or so. There are many crazy stories I could tell you about that time period, but I am going to stick to GYPSY QUEEN. This whole effort came after I was asked to play in the band. I wrote and co-wrote at least 8 of these songs. This is my roots. I brought these songs to this band. I did not sing much then. I wrote and wrote and wrote though and played and played and played.

They will not tell you this though. I am here to tell you- I did bring them to where they were, at their height of popularity. People always requested us to play Gyspy, and Piss On Me- (prior video) *I played drums on that song* Gypsy Queen I wrote lyrics and guitar for. Now, I scour youtube sometimes and I see them trying to live off the past. They have put up videos of my songs, our songs and said they are "Lake Effect Mud" song, without my mention. A part of me detests this and "soul stealing". Creativity stealing. The other part of me says, the best revenge is moving on and having your own success.

Gypsy Queen was written about a girl I met in college in Canton NY. I was tranced out by her for some reason at that time and she called herself a gypsy.

Lesson learned. Life goes on. My creativity does not stop with that era. I have had so many people tell me, Gypsy Queen made that band and people came to hear that. It was quite a time period.
