My favorite MTV watching videos that I saw and watched repeatedly was CRYIN' ( in the 90's) (Aerosmith) and ESTRANGED - GNR. (also, DON'T CRY) Oddly enough, I love the Illusion albums more than the APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION album. I do love their studio sound, mostly because you can hear every instrument and clearly. (especially "Appetite" and raw) I also grew into a Pearl Jam kick. It lasted a lifetime. I was very much drawn to Eddie Vedder and my voice, was very much matching his with vibrarto at that time. I usually do not do cover songs, but I used to cover "Hail Hail", "Little Red Mosquito" "Black", "Last Kiss" and "Yellow Led Better". So, while trying to find my voice, I (was shy) at first. I wouldn't sing in front of people at first. I found my voice late, later. I did sing in chorus in High School. I got asked to do the "All County", but my Grandmother died and did not have supportive adults in my life, I did not go, or do it. I mostly didn't listen to much PJ after the album "Binaural". That doesn't make me less of a true fan. I don't like the term fan really. It is what is is. I started buring my ear so I could become more original and build on what I had learned over the years. I have found some PJ tunes though, I love like... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzv7OtPL8S4
When "Animal" came out from the "Vs." (PJ) effort I was very much into them. I watched as Neil Young, whom I like too.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LDyTcDqW7kU play alongside PEARL JAM at the MTV awards. Loved it. I was very emotional with music back then. Still can be.
